Charles Hamm, 71, of Baldwinsville passed away peacefully on Friday, May 17, 2019. Charlie graduated from Baker H.S. and Powelson Business Institute. He retired from a career in the NY State Barge Canal System, and then worked at Syracuse Home Association, both in maintenance and as a CNA. Most of all, Chuckie loved being with his family and friends, of which he made many throughout his journey in life. He will be missed tremendously by his siblings Ernest Hamm, Doris Halko, and Marcia Lamirande, all of Baldwinsville, Mary Hardwick (John) of Merrimack, NH, and brother-in-law and friend Jerry Stork (Mesa, AZ) and his nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly, as well Aunt Virginia Rury and many cousins. The grief of his passing is eased by the joy of knowing he is now reunited with his beloved parents, Charlotte and Bradford Hamm and siblings Edith Roberts (John), Brad Hamm Jr., Jacquine Stork, and Les Hamm. Calling hours will be Friday, May 24 from 3:00-5:00 at Gates Funeral Home, with a celebration of life service immediately following. Donations can be made to VFW Post 153 Auxillary Scholarship fund.
