Alice J. Davis, 77, of Fulton, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 21. Born in Syracuse, she grew up in Baldwinsville and was a graduate of C.W. Baker High School and SUNY Oswego with a degree in Childhood Education. She then moved to Calvert County, Maryland, with her husband where they lived for 27 years while raising their children. During her time in Maryland, she enjoyed volunteering for the Jefferson Patterson Park Archeological Library and was an active member of Waters Memorial United Methodist Church. For the past 24 years they resided in Fulton, NY where Alice enjoyed quilting, baking, gardening, feeding, and watching the birds, spending time with friends, and watching Syracuse basketball.
She was predeceased by her parents, Arnold, and Jane Judd.
Alice is survived by her husband of 52 years, Stephen; two sons, Peter Davis of Martinsburg, WV, and Michael with his wife Melissa of Easton, PA; and four grandchildren, Julia, Hank, Claire, and Mac; two sisters, Joyce Barker and Janice St. George of Bluffton, SC; and seven nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Gates Funeral Home, 29 W. Genesee St., Baldwinsville.
