Barbara J. Johnston

Barbara June Johnston, 90, of Baldwinsville, died peacefully on Wednesday April 17, 2024 at Van Duyn Nursing Home.  Barbara worked for Dr. Hunter for over 20 years before she retired.  She then worked in the office at her church, Baldwinsville First United Methodist Church, until her health declined.  She had a love for adventure and did a lot of traveling with her son Mark and his family when she was able to do so.

Barbara was predeceased by her Mom and Dad, Mildred and Leo Beebe.  Surviving are her son Mark (Karen) and her grandchildren, Mike (Jenn) Doran of Easley SC, Katelyn (Chris) Hile of Scriba, and Krista (Dana) Johnston of Syracuse. 

As per Barbara’s wishes there will be no calling hours.  There will be a memorial service on Thursday May 2, 2024 at 1:00pm at Baldwinsville First United Methodist Church in the Chapel, 17 W Genesee St, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.  Private burial at the Jacksonville Rural Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers we ask per Barbara’s wishes you make a donation in her name to either the Organ Fund at the Baldwinsville First United Church (17 W Genesee St, Baldwinsville, NY 13027) or the Upstate Golisano Childrens Hospital (The Upstate Foundation, Inc, 750 East Adams St, Syracuse, NY 13210)
