Carol Godfrey

Carol Bubb Godfrey, 78, of Louisville, KY, passed away on July 16, 2023. She was
born on December 25, 1944, in Baldwinsville, New York, and was a 1962 graduate
of Baldwinsville High School. Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister,
and aunt. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carol loved to laugh and had a passion for combing the beaches of Florida during
the time she spent there. In her free time, Carol enjoyed needlepoint, gardening,
cooking and baking. These hobbies brought her joy and allowed her to express
her creativity. She was known for her warm heart and kind spirit.
She is survived by her beloved wife, Martha Carson, her son Chris (Barbara)
Godfrey, stepchildren Debbie (James) Morgan, Madge (John) Day and Michael
Carson; grandchildren Shelby, Katie, Brittany, Heather, John and Aaron. Carol was
preceded in death by her parents John and Marion Bubb, her sister Joan Skutt,
and her beloved Yorkie, Tobi.
Services to celebrate Carol's life will be held on August 5 at 10 am at Gates
Funeral Home in Baldwinsville.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Carol's
memory to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
May Carol Godfrey's soul rest in eternal peace, and may her memory be a blessing
to all who knew and loved her.
