Daniel “Dan” A. Jacobs, 57, of Martville, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021. He graduated
from Cato-Meridian High School in 1983. Dan retired as a Millwright from Local 1163 Roch/Syr after
decades of service. He then worked as a Sales Representative for Consolidated Equipment Erectors, Inc.
at the Anheuser Busch Facility in Baldwinsville, NY. Dan loved snowmobiling, muscle cars and hanging
out with friends. He was known for working hard and playing harder.
He is predeceased by his parents Mitchell (2010) and Gladys (2012); Carol Yager (2004), mother of
He is survived by his children Daniel “Drew” and Brittney; grandchildren Ava & Alex. Siblings: Barbara,
Margaret (Colin), Joseph, Frank, Nancy and Mary (Jeff); nieces & nephews: Jessica (Michael), Brandon
(Nicole), Joey, Jamie (Eric), Brianne (Ray), Jackson (Brynn), Joshua, Levi, Sarah (Craig), Evelyn, Bailey
(Landon) and Jacob; 9 great nieces & nephews; Kim DeGroff, mother of Drew.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 29 from 1-3PM at St. Patrick’s Church 2576 Mechanic
St in Cato with a mass to follow at 3PM. Spring burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery, Cato; a celebration
of life will take place at that time.
There will be a gathering after the mass in the rec hall at St. Patrick’s Church. Please join the family as
we gather together to commemorate Dan’s life.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fair Haven Fire Dept 14447 Fair Haven Rd, Sterling,
NY 13156.
