David E. Osinski Jr., 53, passed away suddenly Sunday. Born in Syracuse, NY, he was a graduate
of Cicero-North Syracuse High School. A veteran of the United States Navy, David served in the
Persian Gulf during Operation Desert Shield & Desert Storm and was honorably discharged in
1991. He became an engineer and IT professional and traveled extensively, living at times in
Seattle, San Diego, Minneapolis & Durham before settling back home in Syracuse. David is well
remembered for his outrageous sense of humor and "policing of grammar". He was "that"
uncle, never embarrassed to play with the kids, and a confidant to many, always ready to listen
to a friend.
He will be missed.
Surviving are his mother, Bonnie (Gabriel) Zaccaria, His son, Christopher (Justina) Osinski,
brothers, Matthew (Jackie) Zaccaria & Rick (Natalie) Zaccaria, his sisters, Kym Conklin, Tammy
(Kevin) Newell; his four grandchildren, Christopher, Liem, Autumn & Gerald, nephews and
nieces, Joseph, Brandon, Gabriella, Ronan, Ryker, Kaitlyn, Morgan, Gabriel, JR, Katie, Lyndsay,
Wally, Zachary, Emily, Alexander and his many cousins, friends, colleagues, and compatriots.
Services and a Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 25th from 12p.m. to 3p.m. at
Gates Funeral Home; 29 W. Genesee St. Baldwinsville.
His Viking burial will be private.
