David J Swartz

David J. Swartz 73, formerly of Baldswinsville passed away Friday November 22, 2019. David was a Broadcast Engineer who built  WOLF TV in Scranton, PA. and rebuilt the transmitter site for WBRE TV. Wilkes Barre, PA.  He retired from KALB TV in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was a Navy Veteran who served during the Vietnam War aboard the " Corporal" submarine.  David loved playing the trumpet, bridge, Chess and the lottery.  He was also a Ham radio operator call sign WA2DLH.  He loved to go sailing on his sailboat " The Martha", named after his mom. He was predeceased by a Son, Steven D. Swartz and a Granddaughter, Melissa C. Karoly. 
Surviving: His Wife, Anita L. Swartz. Daughter, Katherine L. Macedonia and Husband Michael  Macedonia. A Son, Kenneth E. Swartz and wife Sandra Swartz. 3 Sisters, Martha Ann O'Brien, Christine Liadka and Jessica Wescott. 2 Brothers, Donald R. Swartz and Andrew W. Swartz. 8 Grandchildren, Anthony, Christina, David, Jacob, Daniel, Michaela, Michael and Joseph.
A Graveside Service will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2019 at Noon at Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners, NY.
