Debby J Landers

Debby J. Landers, 68, of Cato, NY, died peacefully in her home, surrounded by family, on December 17, 2021. She was born in Westerly, Rhode Island to Fred and Linda Tompkins who preceded her in death. Debby is survived by her husband, Dennis Landers; her son, Christopher Tompkins; stepsons, Chris Landers and his wife Tina; Mike Landers, preceded in death, survived by his wife, Lindsay; and Jeff Landers; brother, Fred Tompkins; brother, Gregg Tompkins and his wife Molly; sister, Marge Hackett; grandchildren, TJ, Brennan, Ian, Sophia, Ryker, Maddox; and numerous friends and neighbors.
Debby had recently retired from Cato-Meridian School District after 32 years of service and was known by all as a pillar in her community. Her generous spirit and kind heartedness contributed to the success of hundreds of students throughout her career. She loved her family and friends unconditionally and made a positive impact in the lives of many, often putting the needs of others before her own. 
Calling hours will be held at Gates Funeral Home in Baldwinsville, NY on January 15, 2022 from 1 PM to 3 PM followed by a short private family service. Additionally, there will be a celebration of life for the public to attend at the Cato American Legion Hall following the service from 5 PM to 8 PM.
