Edward Frew Baumgras

Edward F. Baumgras, aged 81, returned to the Lord on Sunday, December 1, 2019.  He is survived by: Marilyn Elizabeth Baumgras, his loving wife of 59 years; his daughter Lynne Marie Baumgras; his son, Glenn Edward Baumgras and daughter-in-law, Janine Baumgras; his granddaughters, Halee and Hanna Baumgras; and his sister-in-law (Richard) Susan Baumgras.  

Edward graduated from Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering.  He was a U.S. Army Veteran and served from 1955 to 1969 as a 1st Lieutenant with the 73rd Engineer Company Unit.  He retired from Pass & Seymour as Plant Manager.  Edward enjoyed family outings, computers, hunting, and boating.  He was an avid HAM radio operator and recently earned accreditation as a volunteer examiner for the Amateur Radio Service.

Edward was truly beloved by his family and friends.  He was a kind soul who also had a special place in his heart for all animals.  

A private family memorial service will be held at Gates Funeral Home in Baldwinsville.  In lieu of flowers, a memorial donation may be made in Edward’s name to the Wanderer’s Rest Humane Association in Canastota, NY.
