Frances Ann Tausend, 86, of Baldwinsville, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2023, in Cape Coral, Florida. Frances was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Charles L. Tausend, and is survived by her sons, David (Victoria) Tausend, Richard (Bridgett) Tausend, and daughters Theresa (Dwight) Henderson and Jean Clark.
Frances had a fulfilling 20-year career as a Lab Technician, retiring in 2004, where she was known for her exceptional skills and personal commitment to her patients. Additionally, Frances was a lifetime member of the Baldwinsville Ambulance Corp, where she selflessly served her community.
In her free time, Frances found joy in spending time with her 10 grandchildren and 17 great- grandchildren. She cherished every moment with them, creating lasting memories and nurturing strong family bonds. Frances' love and care will forever be cherished by her large and loving family.
Calling Hours will take place on Thursday, September 7th, from 4 to 6pm at Gates Funeral Home, 29 W. Genesee St., Baldwinsville. A graveside service will be held on Friday, September 8th, at noon, at Riverview Cemetery, 70 Tappan Street, Baldwinsville, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that charitable donations be made to the National Ataxia Foundation at ataxia.org. Contributions to this organization will support research and provide assistance to individuals affected by this neurological disorder.
Frances Ann Tausend will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Her legacy of compassion, dedication, and love will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched.
