Glenn Douglas "Doug" Goodfellow Jr., 71, passed away on February 27, 2025, in Syracuse, New York. Born on March 19, 1953, in Syracuse, he spent his life deeply connected to his family and passions.
Glenn was a devoted father, grandfather, brother, and uncle. He is survived by his children: Kris (Jamie) Goodfellow, Nick (Tori) Goodfellow, Ben (Allison) Goodfellow, Shaun (Taeler) Goodfellow, and Amy (Shaun) McMurchie. He was a proud grandfather to Kyra, Dayton, Landon, Jordan, Tanner, Harper, Kinser, and Dallas. Glenn is also survived by his brother Thomas (Michelle) Goodfellow and sister Martha (William) Hosey, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Joy L. Goodfellow; his parents, Glenn D. Goodfellow Sr. and Alice Goodfellow; and his sister Louise Goodfellow.
A lifelong racing enthusiast, Glenn had a deep passion for motorsports. He avidly followed NASCAR and local dirt track racing-so much so that his license plate proudly read "LOVEDIRT." His enthusiasm for the sport was infectious and brought him great joy throughout his life.
Glenn's memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his love for family and racing continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the American Legion, 8529 Smokey Hollow Rd., in Baldwinsville.
