Helen Page Obituary

Helen I. Page went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on March 19, 2026.

She was born in Syracuse, New York to Harry and Vertia (Connell) Pyke. She attended local schools and Syracuse University. During her early years, she worked on the family farm. She often said, “I milked cows before I learned how to type.” Her career included working at Syracuse Savings Bank where she became the first woman vice president. She later moved to Florida where she worked for H&R Block doing taxes.

Her vivacious personality was contagious. Her smile would light up a room. Her love for the Lord and family was of utmost importance. She enjoyed teaching Sunday school for high school and college age young ladies. She also taught an adult class at the Lighthouse Family Ministries where her son Daryl was Pastor. She had a deep compassion for souls. She would often quote II Corinthians 5:8 “…to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” And John 14:6 “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life; no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” She also enjoyed writing. She wrote many poems and three books, one of which was published. She loved the beauty of nature and historical places, Gettysburg being one of them. She had a special place in her heart for animals and would have adopted them all if she could. She was also a member of the Sampson Air Force Base in Romulus, New York.

Helen was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Raymon Page. She leaves a son, Daryl (Karen) Page of Hollywood, Florida and a daughter Derry Page of Baldwinsville, New York. She was predeceased by her brothers Archie and Eugene Pyke.
