James B. Gantt

James Brian Gantt, 75, of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024, peacefully in his sleep at home after a brief illness and hospital stay. Jim was born December 17, 1948, and raised in Norwich, NY, before moving to Syracuse. Jim’s love of friends and family saw countless pictures of his loved ones on the walls, and he enjoyed repairing things, motorcycles, going RV camping and his tractor.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Linda Gantt (Padgett), his daughter, Jacquelyne (Van) Scott, of Norwich; sons James L of Liverpool, James R of Katy, TX and Brian of CA; stepchildren Samantha (Rod) Richer and Matt (Stephanie) Nordheim, 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 brother, 3 sisters; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.
As per Jim’s request, there will be no funeral or services held.
