It is with deep sorrow that I announce the passing of John Michalski on March 27, 2024 at Crouse Hospital with family by his side.
John was a very quiet man, Born December 9, 1933, the third son of Casimir and Genevieve (Pilch) Michalski of Solvay (Belle Isle) He was 90.
He was a graduate of Solvay High School and a U.S Army Veteran serving in Germany and Georgia during the Korean war from 1953-1955.
He was employed by the New Yok Central Railroad Summers, Lipe Rollway for 38 years and Baldwinsville Transportation for 10 Years.
He married Nancy Clarke on August 3, 1957 and moved to Baldwinsville where he enjoyed almost 67 years of happy marriage.
He enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, solitaire, NASCAR and being with family. He was predeceased by his parents, Brothers, Mat and Art Michalski and in-laws, Charles and Clara Clarke of Solvay.
He is survived by his wife Nancy, brother Edmund (Muriel)) Michalski of Lakeland, sisters and brothers-in-law Diane-cha (Dick) Amato of Solvay, Wilma (Chuck) Puzzullo of N. Syracuse, Patricia Clarke of Baldwinsville, Several Nieces and Nephews.
Per John's wishes there will be no services or calling hours at this time, his body is being donated to upstate body and research Dept. Burial will be later at Greenlawn Memorial Park cemetery in Warners.
I would like to thank the caring and Loving nursing staff heroes of Crouse hospital ICU for all their kindness during john's stay.
