Joseph George Fielding, 50, passed away unexpectedly on July 22, 2021 at his home in Oakland, Florida.
Joe was born in Syracuse, New York on November 3, 1970. As an “ Army Brat “ he lived and traveled
extensively throughout the United States growing up. Joe graduated from Leilihua High School in
Wahiawa, HI in 1989. He earned a Welding certificate from Northeast Kansas Area Vocational Technical
School in Atchison, KS in 1990. He thoroughly enjoyed his career working as a MIG & TIG welder as well
as a short stint picking pineapples on Oahu, HI for Dole as his first job. He even had the perseverance
and patience to grow pineapples in Kansas. His welding career began at Atchison Castings in Kansas and
from there he continued to perfect his craft at Smith Steel and Supply, INC in Leavenworth, KS, Smitchko
Tool and Die, Inc in Clarence, PA, Florida Stainless in Oviedo, FL, and was currently employed by Custom
Metal Designs in Oakland, FL. Joe enjoyed reading, baseball, fishing, nature, cats, movies, and was a
huge fan of the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a fantastic uncle to his niece and nephew. Joe leaves behind
his parents, Robert and Sandra (Vader) Fielding of Oviedo, FL; sister, Christina (Bruce) Foreman; niece,
Madeline Foreman; nephew, Caleb Foreman; cat, Elizabeth; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Joe's final resting place will be next to his maternal grandparents, George and Carrie (Mead) Vader in
Greenlawn Memorial Park, Warners, NY. Calling hours will be held from 2-4 PM with memorial service
at 4 PM on August 21, 2021 at Gates Funeral Home, 29 West Genesee Street, Baldwinsville, NY 13027.
Grave side service will be held Monday August 23 at 9:30 AM.
