Judith Anne (Vrooman) Larson

Judith Anne Vrooman Larson, 73, of Baldwinsville, NY, died Monday August 23, 2021. Loving
mother of Jared (Jac) and Kate (Fen); dear sister of Robert Vrooman (Betty Lou) and Steve
Vrooman (Paula), beloved aunt of David and Jason Vrooman; and loving friend to all. Born in
Albany, NY, she was raised in Selkirk and Alexandria Bay, and later returned to run the family
resort, Pinehurst on the St. Lawrence. Judy received her Bachelor’s in Library Science from SUNY
Geneseo and Master’s in Education from University of Colorado Boulder, then serving as school
librarian at Penfield Central School District, Indian River School, APW, and Phoenix Central
Schools, until she retired. Judy was a very active member of Reformed Church of the Thousand Isles
and then Grace Evangelical Covenant Church. She was happiest driving her speedboat on the St.
Lawrence River, playing games with family, reading late into the night and worshipping with friends.
She faced every challenge with determination and courage, and remained a fighter to the end.
