Margaret L. Newcomb

Margaret "Marge" L. Newcomb, 89, of Baldwinsvillepassed away peacefully on Tuesday February 6, 2018. She was born on June 25,1928 in Syracuse, NY to the late Ernesto and Angelina Miccinelli. Margaret graduated from North High School in Syracuse. Throughout the years, she was employed by Barne's Dairy as well as the Baldwinsville Public Library. An avid SU basketball fan, Margaret enjoyed watching the games, reading, bird watching, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Margaret is predeceased by her beloved husband, George A. Newcomb (1986) as well as her siblings John Miccinelli, Celestine Miccinelli, Helen Churchio, Antoinette Morice, and Anna Strom. She is survived by her brother David J. Miccinelli (Margaret); her children Gary A. (Christine Michaud), Timothy D., George R., Sandra L. Newcomb-Grosso, and David J. Newcomb; five grandchildren Michele, Margo, Jessica, Amanda, and Kyle; nine great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, February 12, 2018 from 4 to 6 PM at Gates Funeral Home, Inc., 29 W. Genesee Street, Baldwinsville. Service and burial will take place at 10 am on Tuesday, February 13 at Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery, 2932 Warners Rd., Warners, NY.
