Margaret, “Peggy” Bye has read her last chapter and sewn her last seam. She passed away on February 28, 2025 in Rohrersville, MD.
Born in 1948 in St. Charles, Missouri, she moved to Baldwinsville NY in 1954. She graduated from C.W. Baker HS in 1966, going on to Maria Regina College and Empire State College. Peggy began her Library career at the age of 16 as a Page at the Baldwinsville Public Library and continued there until retirement in 2010. For as many years, she was an accomplished crafter and seamstress. Countless hours were spent on projects for family, friends, and the Baldwinsville community.
She is predeceased by her parents, Robert Bye Sr and Eunice Bye. Peggy is survived by her daughter Robyn Callard (Tedd), son-in-law Brian Callard, and her grandsons Aron Callard (Megan Corkey) and Ian Callard, whom she thought the world of. In addition, are five siblings: Bob (Edel) Bye Jr, Tom (Herminia) Bye, Sally Bye, Charlie (Pattie) Bye, and Jane (David) Files.
Think of her when you wear blue. Volunteer somewhere. Make something and gift it. Buy a book and read. The family would like to thank an incredible group of friends who assisted Peggy over the years and made her so happy.
