Millard L. Butterfield, 86, passed January 21st. Affectionately known as "Bud," he was a man of strong character and few words. After serving in the Army during the Korean War, he was a dedicated employee at Carrier as a crane operator until his retirement.
Millard was also a proud craftsman who built the home where he and his wife raised their three children. In his free time, he enjoyed spending time outside cultivating his garden, enjoying the latest hunting season, or traveling in search of a diner for a bite to eat.
Millard is predeceased by his parents Ira and Hazel, his wife June (Hubbard), brother James, and son Douglas.
Surviving are his two children: Karen (Drew Fischel), and Kevin Butterfield; three grandchildren: Ricki and Jamie Fischel, and Alexandra Butterfield; as well as four great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday, January 29th at Gates Funeral Home in Baldwinsville from 4-6:30 with services to follow.
