Sandra M Constantino

Sandra May Constantino, of Plainville, New York, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday morning, January 19, 2025, with her husband, son, and daughter-in-law by her side. She was predeceased by her parents, Flora and George Boice, and her brothers, George and Stuart Boice.

Born on July 17, 1949, in Syracuse, New York, Sandy  devoted her life to education. She spent 30 years as a teacher in the Syracuse City School District, where she inspired countless young minds with her dedication and care. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond the classroom as she found great joy in caring for others throughout her life.

Sandy’s many passions included rug hooking, baking, gardening, and spending time with her cherished granddaughters and lovable grand-dogs.  She was an active participant of Plainville Christian Church and deeply valued the moments she shared with her family, friends, church, and community.

Sandy is lovingly remembered by her husband, Joseph, with whom she spent 60 wonderful years, 55 of them very happily married , her son Christopher and daughter-in-law Heidi; her granddaughters Caelen and Skyler; and her sister Nancy (Steve) Hallock as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held at Gates Funeral Home (29 West Genesee St., Baldwinsville, NY) on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. A funeral service be held at Plainville Christian Church (752 West Genesee Rd., Plainville, NY) on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at 1:00 p.m., with a reception to follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Central New York and/or Plainville Christian Church in Sandra’s memory.
